Come Join Us...

Join us, the people of Springs, Pennsylvania and our friends, the craftspeople from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and West Virginia. The traditional Springs Folk Festival, held each October in the height of autumn, is a celebration of the arts, crafts, and culture of days gone by.

Music

Live music is also a feature of the festival. Throughout the day you may hear the banjo and fiddle music of bluegrass performers, the a cappella singing of local Mennonites, and the lilting mountain melodies of the dulcimer are included in admission price, and you can come and go as you like.

Food
You are invited to a hearty family-style Pennsylvania Dutch meal which includes sauage, Dutch Fried potatoes, corn and more. At the concession stands try our sausage burgers, bean soup, homemade baked goods, doughnuts, and funnel cakes.
History
The purpose of the Springs Folks Festival is to preserve and accurately portray the arts and crafts of pioneers and mountain folk. Forty five years ago the Springs Historical Society and Penn Alps, Inc. founded this festival which today attracts thousands.
Museum
If you're interested in the history and way of life of early Springs settlers, be sure to visit the adjacent Springs Museum. Two large buildings house antique tools, household furnishings, and other historical objects.
